The Magnetic Multi Shot is a magnetic survey
instrument used to simultaneously determine the inclination
(drift angle) and the magnetic direction of the bore hole. The
data is recorded sequentially on a strip of photographic film.
The Multi-Shots are used in conjunction with a non magnetic
drill collar or run in an open hole.
The permanent and easy to read recording
on the film stripe is a result of photographing three
assemblies, all superimposed about a common axis. The three
assemblies are the angle indicator, the inclinations and
the compass card.
